A bond does not ensure a visa will be issued. Fees paid without a consular officer's
direction are non-refundable.
**Required Ports of Entry**
Visa holders who post a bond must enter and exit the U.S. through these airports to
avoid denied entry or improperly recorded departures:
– Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)
– John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
– Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
**Visa Bond Compliance**
The full bond amount will be refunded if the applicant follows the nonimmigrant visa
status and bond conditions outlined in the bond form and on Travel.State.Gov. The bond
is automatically canceled and refunded if:
– The visa holder departs by the authorized stay date.
– The visa holder does not travel to the U.S. before the visa expires.
– The visa holder is denied admission at a U.S. port of entry.
**Visa Bond Breach**
Cases of potential bond violations will be forwarded to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration
Services (USCIS). Possible breaches include:
– Departing after the authorized stay.
– Remaining in the U.S. beyond authorized stay.
– Applying to adjust status from nonimmigrant, including asylum claims.g seeking
asylum claim.
